Testing Capacity Expansion Underway With Fourth Building In Philadelphia Navy Yard

The new facility will more than double testing capacity for cell and gene therapies.

On November 1, 2018, Liberty Property Trust and Synterra Partners held a groundbreaking ceremony to kick off the construction of our fourth building in the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

The 95,000 square foot building will enable us to support the evolving demands of our cell and gene therapy clients by more than doubling our testing capacity.

Anchoring the central intersection of Rouse and League Island Boulevard, the state of the art facility will span longer than a city block. Internally coined “R400, ” construction is scheduled to be complete in late 2019.

What started in 2004 as a single building with 15 employees, has now grown into a 287,000 square foot, fully integrated campus with over and 600 plus employees. With the addition of R400, our campus will become one of the largest commercial spaces dedicated to the life science community in the entire world and will create over 400 jobs in the next 3-5 years.
