The global cell and gene therapy community converges on Miami, FL from January 21-25, for Phacilitate 2018, the largest meeting of it’s kind. Located at the Hyatt Regency in Miami, the conference brings together a collection of the industries brightest minds from around the world to learn about the latest advancements and countless networking opportunities.

WuXi Advanced Therapies (ATU), an integrated CDMO accelerating the development and commercialization of cell and gene therapies will be making its debut at Phacilitate 2018. Located at booth number 603, ATU will be displaying the following integrated services that can reduce project timelines, expedite first in human trials with greater predictability, and support commercial programs globally.

  • Process development
  • GMP manufacturing
  • Analytical development
  • Complete panel of testing capabilities
  • Platforms that supply viral vectors (Lenti and AAV) within months

If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of our offerings at Phacilitate, either stop by the booth, schedule a meeting through the partnering portal, or check out the following talks from our technical leadership.

Day 2 – Wednesday, January 24th from 4:05-4:50pm, Dr. Joe Hughes, ATU’s Chief Scientific Officer will participate in the “Comparing and contrasting current and emerging gene therapy production platforms and characterization tools” track. Dr. Hughes’s presentation explains how WuXi’s manufacturing platform for vector production expedites entry to clinical trials with greater predictability. The presentation also describes how WAT is able to supply vectors within months, not years, which provides a solution to a bottleneck that plagues the industry.

Day 3 – Thursday, January 25 from 11:15am to 1:00pm, Dr. Chris Ballas, ATU’s Senior Director of Process Development will participate in the “How to truly enable decentralized manufacturing at commercial scale” during the cell-based therapy track. Dr. Ballas will expand on the importance of IPT and release testing and discuss the challenges associated with “bedside manufacturing.”

We look forward to seeing you in Miami!
